Founded in 1999, Scotts Valley High School graduated its first senior class in June of 2003.  SVHS is a comprehensive, accredited high school for grades 9–12, located in the City of Scotts Valley. Our enrollment for the academic year 2017-18 is 171 seniors, 202 juniors, 212 sophomores, and 223 freshman.  Our enrollment for 2016-17 was 181 seniors, 187 juniors, 224 sophomores, and 221 freshman.  There are 44 certificated staff members including teachers, administrators, and counselors.

 

Scotts Valley is a residential suburban community located 4 miles north of Santa Cruz and 20 miles Southwest of San Jose. The community has a population of approximately 12,000. Major employers in the area include Bay Photo, Plantronics, Fox, BRG Sports, Zero Motorcycles, Central CA Alliance for Health, West Marine, Dominican Hospital, Sutter Hospital, Cabrillo College, Granite Construction, and the University of California at Santa Cruz. Many residents commute to jobs in Silicon Valley.
